American Idol Idol: Shania Twain Lends Expertise in Chicago
But some promising talents will be worth looking out for in Hollywood:
Charity Vance, a 16-year-old whose parents own a salon, sang the old warhorse “Summertime” with a “small voice,” noted Randy, but had “an interesting sound.” What a little blonde sparrow was she!
Angela Martin, 28, has already been chosen for Hollywood twice, but her Idol career has been torpedoed by troubles both tragic (her father’s death) and minor (a court appearance over a traffic violation). She had a great voice, and there is no reason she shouldn’t go again if the rules allow it.
John Park, a voice student, won praise from Shania for “a beautiful bottom end” — referring to his tone, not the backside of his jeans.
Keith Semple, shown only briefly, was enjoyably Kris Allen-ishy.

Men fashion. 10 Best Dressed Men.
Men fashion is developing fast. Vogue has outlined best dressed men. Popular celebrities are among them: Johnny Depp, David Beckham, Tom Ford’s. Very often style is not easily defined or faked, so the men who have made it into the Best Dressed list – in no particular order – are the real deal.
They look awesome, elegant, bizarre. As the menswear shows kick off in Milan this weekend, let’s have a look at those fashionable gentlemen. I want to note men brand clothing can be really fascinating.

Laptop batteries explosions. Why do batteries explode so often?
Li-Polymer batteries are known to burst into fire violently and hotly if damaged. But mostly often the Li-ion batteries explode – as in notebooks, as in cell phones, especially generic ones. Ni-ion are admitted as the most safe batteries.
… In November 2005 a cell phone explosion injuries a student in Wyoming, Dell laptop explodes at Japanese conference in June 2006, in July 2007 a Motorola cell phone kills a man in China, Sony Ericsson mobile phone kills a Chinese worker in February 2009, MacBook Pro explodes in November 2009, Dell Inspiron Mini 9 – in December 2009… These are only the most known cases of accumulators’ danger. As a rule such accidents occur due to following factors:
- too hot water;
- inadequate air outflow from a notebook;
- unprofessional maintenance and overcharging.
An interesting fact – in the real world, this is probably the most unlikely way to injure oneself with a cell phone. But in the prison world, this is actually a fairly common occurrence. Prisoners are often caught with various items in their ‘puckered starfish.’ Cell phones are not allowed in prison and inmates are forced to force cell phones in places where only boarder guards dare to probe.
It is recommended to unhook your battery off of the power cord of your notebook when you use your PowerPoint. Not only it saves your battery from constant discharging and recharging, it seems like it prolongs the life of the original battery itself.
Overcharging causes copious amounts of hydrogen to be generated, and the alkali inside the battery can be not enough to neutralize it. We can see it in an experiment (not recommended to reproduce): if to submerge a battery in pure water and overcharge it, it is amazing how much hydrogen is generated – it is seen boil the water. When concentration of hydrogen gas reaches 4.1% in a cell, any ignition can cause an explosion. While spark retarding vent caps can help prevent battery explosions, they occur when connecting or disconnecting charger or battery cables and starting the engine. As a result the residual battery acid is splashed all over the place and it needs to be neutralized with a solution of one-pound baking soda to one gallon of warm water.
To avoid injures, use only quality batteries, produced by trustworthy manufacturers, do not arbitrarily modify your device, avoid it’s falling down and do not use damaged batteries.
